Film Greater Copenhagen replaces Oresund Film Commission
20 Feb 2016, Posted by Uncategorized @en inDuring this year’s Berlinale Copenhagen Film Fund together with Film In Scane unveiled a fundamental restructuring of the two film funds’ film commission.
Oresund Film Commission has been the film funds’ joint regional commission for 13 years, but earlier this week it was announced that the commission is shutting down. Instead, two separate film commissions will be established. Film Greater Copenhagen and Southern Sweden Film Commission will in the future serve and assist foreign film productions that want to place activities respectively on Zealand and in southern Sweden.
Film Greater Copenhagen will draw on Oresund Film Commission’s experience and knowledge and continue its work with a new and more specific focus on the Greater Copenhagen area. The goal is in addition to serving foreign film crews, to promote our region and make it one of the most attractive locations for shooting film/TV productions in Europe.
Oresund Film Commission was established in 2003 in order to combine the best resources of two Scandinavian countries to ensure you the best possible experience on location in the region.
Although there are now two commissions the close collaboration acros the Bridge continues and there is plans for allocating funds for joint transnational productions.
The commission is operated by Copenhagen Film Fund.
