The inclusion of the public school has brought a lot of less than well behaved scholars to Islevgård Skole. There is not enough manpower or tools to solve this challenge which threatens to destroy the school completely. However, it is not just the school that is starting to fall apart. Rita has always been proud of being able to make it by herself. That is easy when people stand behind you. But suddenly Rita finds herself alone – her flirt with Jonas comes to a halt after a professional conflict and Jeppe moves away from home. The sense of loneliness and fear sneaks up on Rita and she must fight to rebuild the school and herself. Two battles, which both calls for unorthodox weapons…
The world’s biggest video on-demand provider Netflix has coproduced the third season of “Rita”. It is the first time ever that a foreign video on-demand provider invests in a Danish film or tv-series. In Denmark “Rita” will be shown on TV2 and shortly after the whole season will be available on Netflix. Every season of “Rita” will be available on Netflix in Europe, United States, Canada and Australia and New Zealand in 2015.
