Norwegian Paradox Film just released the first teasertrailer to the historical drama The King’s Choice. The film is co-produced with Nordisk Film Production with investment from Copenhagen Film Fund and starring a fantastic Jesper Christiansen as King Haakon VII, who is forced to make one of the toughest decisions in his life when the German troops arrive in Norway April 9th 1940. The film has theatrical release in Norway fall 2016. The date of the Danish premiere is still to be confirmed.

Copenhagen Film Fund has invested 3,5 million DKK in the film, which lead to parts of the shooting being relocated from Budapest to Filmstationen in Furesø.

The film is directed by Erik Poppe the man behind “A Thousand Times Good Night” starring Nikolaj Coster-Waldau.
