When Toronto International Film Festival takes place 10th-20th of September, two films that Copenhagen Film Fund has invested in will participate. Earlier this month it was announced that “The Danish Girl” was picked, and now it is official that the Norwegian disaster movie “The Wave” will have it’s international premiere in the Special Presentations-program.

Copenhagen Film Fund’s investment made it possible for the Copenhagen-based FX-company Ghost to do special effects for ”The Wave”, directed by Roar Uthaug. The film is about the geologist Kristian whose worst nightmare becomes reality when the mountain Åknesset crashes into the ocean setting off a tsunami wave. “The Wave” is already sold to almost every international territory.
