PITCH
King Haakon the 7th has been King of Norway for 35 years, but for the first time in his reign, he must stand up for him self and show character.
While the German battleship “Blücher” lye burning in the Oslo fjord, the King and the government are fleeing out of Oslo with the Germans after them. At the same time as the king's son, Crown Prince Olav, demands his father to take a stand against the government, the Prime Minister reports his resignation. Norway is on the brink of collapse and everything happens in the course of one day. The King desperately tries to hold the line, but it all comes one step closer breakdown when they receive message from Oslo that the German-friendly politician Qvisling has cooped the government and established himself as head of government. Meanwhile Crown Prince Olav decides to volunteer for battle.
It all culminates when the Germans officially puts the responsibility on the king's shoulders. If he does not surrender his country, people will die. It is in these days in 1940 that King Haakon goes from being monarch to leader, to the people’s king!
