Alicia Vikander wins Oscar for role in “The Danish Girl”

Big congrats to Alicia Vikander who during this year’s Academy Awards Sunday night was awarded an Oscar for her supporting role as Gerda Wegener in “The Danish Girl”. It is a great pleasure to see, how the fund’s biggest production so far has gotten so much acknowledgement.
Abroad as well as at home, the film has attracted much attention. Despite fierce competition from “X-Factor” and “Follow the Money” in the opening weekend the film acomplished to sell no less than 60,000 movie tickets in the first week.
