An exclusive surprise waited the international press that showed up in great numbers at the press conference for Lars von Trier’s new feature “The House That Jack Built” in Swedish Dalsland.
They were met by the American actress Uma Thurman, who was ready for press photos and interviews together with the already announced lead actor Matt Dillon and Lars von Trier. Uma Thurman was confirmed as cast just before the press conference, which marked the beginning of shootings.

Strong international cast
Thus Zentropa has secured a strong international cast with actors from both sides of the Atlantic Ocean in the leading roles. Besides Matt Dillon as the main character and serial killer Jack, Bruno Ganz stars in the role as the mysterious Verge, who explores and challenges Jack’s thoughts and actions through reoccurring dialog.
Uma Thurman, Riley Keough, Sofie Gråbøl and Siobhan Fallon Hogan play the unlucky women, who meet Jack at different places in the film
Uma Thurman became world famous for her role as Mia Wallace in Quentin Tarantino's PULP FICTION (1994). In 2003 she teamed up once more with Tarantino in the international film series KILL BILL VOL. 1 (2003) and KILL BILL VOL. 2 (2004). Further film roles counter BATMAN & ROBIN (1997), Les Miserables (1998), DANGEROUS RELATIONS (1998); BEAUTIFUL GIRLS (1996).
