DANISH FILM DIRECTORS
Danish Film Directors consider Copenhagen Film fund as an important and necessary initiative if we are to maintain and further the position of Danish film internationally. As a country with internationally renowned directors it is also important that we are able to attract major international productions to Copenhagen. Through the work of the Copenhagen Film Fund we are not only strengthening the Danish film industry, we also generate growth and make sure that the talent of the Danish film industry will be put to use internationally.
Danish Film Directors was founded in 1956 as an interest group and has from the beginning strived to obtain influence within the field of cultural policy. In 1990 it became a union and has since then also fought to improve the conditions and rights of Danish film directors. Today Danish Film Directors counts more than 400 members.
