AN INDUSTRIAL POLITICAL INVESTMENT

The municipal council of Brøndby was agreed that the Copenhagen Film Fund was a good idea – cultural as well as industrial political. Our municipality is neighbour to Zentropa, Scandinavias largest film production company, in Hvidovre. Consequently, we decided to participate in the Copenhagen Film Fund with a (by our standards) substantial amount of money.

Naturally, we hope that some of our citizens will have a share in the jobs which we believe this project will yield.

Our two hotels – Scandic at Roskildevej and the hotel in our multi event centre Idrættens Hus (the House of Sports) – will be well suited overnight accommodation for both visiting performers and members of a cast.

Should exciting locations be needed, we are able to deliver: The historical rampart Vestvolden with old military buildings, the magnificent beach resort Køge Bugt Strandpark, the forests Brøndbyskoven and Bakkeskoven with old as well as new vegetation, two old idyllic villages with old village churches, parks, an impressive culture centre with frontage illumination in alternate colours, modern tower blocks, allotment societies, large underground parking facilities which allows an opportunity for a spooky scenery, the spectacular football stadium, the marina, the golf course, factories and large warehouses.
